Andri Stefánsson

Dr Stefansson (Iceland) is a Professor of Geochemistry at the University of Iceland. His speciality is within the field of hydrothermal chemistry and gas-water-rock interactions, natural hydrothermal and volcanic fluid chemistry, reaction modelling and isotope geochemistry. He has worked on natural geothermal and volcanic systems worldwide (Iceland, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, Africa and North-, Central-and South America). He has supervised many masters and doctoral students and is involved in various national and international projects focused on maximizing geothermal energy utilization and output, targeting and utilizing supercritical geothermal resources, and gas sequestration into geothermal systems.
